Worshiping Together is..
the practice of gathering with other believers to worship on Sundays. At Live Oak, we pray together, sing together, listen to Scripture together and celebrate communion together.
This is an indispensable aspect of following Jesus. Jesus said, “Where there are two or more gathered in my Name, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20) We believe Jesus is always present with His people through the Holy Spirit, but when we gather together in His Name, He shows up in a unique and powerful way that nourishes our souls.
This is why the writer of Hebrews said, “Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially as the day of The Lord draws near.” (Hebrews 10:25 NLT) These days it’s easy to neglect worshiping together, so you have to decide to make it a priority in your life. When you do, you ensure that your soul is consistently nourished, you stay connected to the church community and God is glorified.
