Worshiping Alone is
is the practice of spending time alone with God. At Live Oak, we teach people to spend time alone with God by practicing spiritual disciplines. There are many different spiritual disciplines, but a few of the most common and helpful ones are reading scripture, prayer, rest, fasting and solitude.
This is an important practice because God uses spiritual disciplines to nourish your soul in His presence, form your character and train you to live like Jesus in your daily life. The Bible says, “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for God is working in you, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases Him.” (Philippians 2:12-13 ESV NLT)
