This Week’s Scripture: John 5:16-29 // Colossians 1:15 

“Jesus was either liar, lunatic or Lord.” - Josh McDowell 

If he is Lord, everything rests on His words.  If Jesus’s words are true, we’re accountable to respond to them. 

Belief in Christ = from death to new resurrection life 

As believers we need to be living into full new life. Believing in and obeying Christ being sealed with him in salvation as well as full, vibrant & exciting new life now! 

If life with Christ feels boring, lean in to Him - It’s not Him that has gotten boring!

Examine yourself - is the fruit of new life in you? Death on earth looks like:

  • A lack of peace

  • Enslaved to sin / dark thought patterns

  • Unable to love / receive love

The way we live today MATTERS.

God is concerned with the decisions we make - the things done in secret will be brought to LIGHT 

Ask:

  • Who do I believe Jesus is? 

  • What does that mean for how I live and believe? 

  • Whose authority do I willingly submit to? {As Christians we willingly submit to Jesus and His authority.} 

At the end of life we will face Jesus.

  • Are you ready to meet your maker?

  • How have you lived?

  • What have you done with time, resources, and energy?
